Engineering Manager - Remote position in Europe.

Mission behind the role:

• In this role, you will lead two teams responsible for areas critical to the delivery of our service to our customers: one team is responsible for the web UI for our issuing product, and the other team is responsible for our ledger functionality.

What will you be doing?

• You will have 8-10 direct reports across the two teams consisting of Fullstack Engineers, Backend Engineers, and Way4 Domain Experts. You will report to the VP of Engineering.

• You will be responsible for coaching and developing the people in your team, ensuring timely project delivery, setting a high quality standard and leading the teams to have the greatest impact for Enfuce and our customers. You will work closely with Product managers and Senior leadership to ensure we ship the right work at the right time. You will inspire your teams and those around you though embodying the Enfuce values.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience leading high performing Fullstack Engineers, ideally using React/Next.js

• Prior experience building and running applications in Java Spring Boot (coding is not required in the role but Engineering leaders are expected to be technical enough to get into the details and participate in architecture discussions their teams)

• Growth mindset, curious to learn about card issuing and the payments industry

• Excellent communication in English and adept at writing cogent strategy and vision documents to drive alignment across the business

• Experience setting and managing systems with strict SLAs

• Experience applying observability and traceability best practices

• Experience working with AWS for hosting, especially use of Lambdas or step functions.
  
  

Nice to have but not vital to have experience with the following:

• Prior background in payments industry

• Experience using AWS CDK for cloud deployments

• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab is a plus

• AWS professional certifications
