Job Description: Application Support Engineer (AppBank)
Mandatory Skills:
Proficient in SQL for database management and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems.
Experience in UNIX scripting and shell scripting.
Hands-on programming skills in UNIX environments.
Debugging and issue resolution experience.
Proven experience in production support and application support roles.
Responsibilities:
Provide L1/L2 production support for critical applications.
Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate routine tasks.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth application operations.
Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance stability and reliability.
Ensure timely resolution of incidents and escalate issues as needed.
Document processes, issues, and resolutions to build a knowledge base.
Added Advantage Skills:
Experience with Java or Python programming.
Familiarity with AWS and cloud technologies.
Understanding of Lambda functions.
Knowledge of Java-based applications and microservices.
Preferred Organizations: Candidates with prior experience in financial institutions such as JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, or Goldman Sachs will be given preference.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3 to 6 years of relevant experience in application and production support.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
