The Role:

As a Senior Regional Therapy Radiographer with us, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting linac based radiotherapy across the Southeast region and occasionally across the rest of the UK network.

You will be responsible for stepping into centres to support treatment, pre-treatment, as well as the training & delivery of complex treatments such as SABR. You will support the pathway of every patient receiving external beam radiotherapy in the centres you attend and assist the Lead Therapy Radiographers/Centre Leader with maintaining their radiotherapy service. What You'll Do:

• Working on the Elekta or Varian Linacs across the GenesisCare treatment centres so that all operational objectives and standards are achieved, and the reputation of GenesisCare for exceptional service and outcomes is always maintained.
• Support SABR, IGRT and other complex pathways across all radiotherapy pre-treatment and treatment services.
• Working closely with the clinical team of Principal Radiographers, Lead Radiographers, Lead Physicists, Senior Dosimetrists, other Radiographers, Nurses, and administration staff in all aspects of the radiotherapy process.

What You'll Have:

Experience and skills:

• Able to demonstrate post qualification experience 
• Experience and understanding of UK radiotherapy techniques and legislation
• Previous experience within all aspects of radiotherapy; quality assurance, pre-treatment and treatment
• Previous experience of SABR pre-treatment and treatment - advantageous
• Evidence of effective staff liaison and co-operative working
• Evidence of empathetic and a holistic approach to patient care
• Previous experience working in private health sector – advantageous
• Prior experience with resolving complaints satisfactorily
• Experience of proactively evolving radiotherapy techniques
• A range of radiotherapy clinical skills
• Evidence of effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong relationship building skills
• Able to make independent judgments/decisions, ability to solve problems
• Ability to work flexibly to achieve GenesisCare business objectives

Qualifications and Knowledge:

• DCR (T) or BSc (Hons) in Radiotherapy (or equivalent)
• HCPC registration
• Evidence of continuing professional development
