Job brief

Join a highly regarded organization in a meaningful industry as a Senior Payroll Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to manage end-to-end payroll processes and contribute to a significant leave balance recalculation project. Responsibilities
  • Perform end-to-end payroll processing for 600 employees on a weekly basis.
  • Manage weekly pay runs and timesheet processing.
  • Process payroll tax, superannuation payments, and ensure compliance.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding tasks, including new starter setups, terminations, and payroll adjustments.
  • Respond to employee payroll queries with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Assist with recalculating employee leave balances to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Interpret awards and EBAs for shift-based workforce payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with the broader team to support additional payroll-related tasks.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in payroll processing with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience with KeyPay or similar payroll software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in calculating leave balances.
  • In-depth knowledge of award and EBA interpretation.
  • Availability to start immediately or on short notice, with the aim to begin in late January.
  • Commitment to reliability and dedication to high-quality work.
