Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting and Compliance:

Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations, including GST and corporate tax requirements.
Maintain accurate general ledger records and perform account reconciliations.

2. Taxation:

Assist in preparing and submitting Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other relevant tax filings.
Provide advisory support on Australian tax matters to clients.

3. Client Engagement:

Collaborate directly with Australian clients to understand their accounting needs and provide tailored solutions.
Build strong client relationships through consistent communication and exceptional service.

4. Financial Reporting:

Prepare periodic management reports, budgets, and forecasts for clients.
Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

5. Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes for efficiency.
Leverage technology to improve accuracy and productivity in financial reporting and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on Australian accounting standards.
Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of Australian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience in preparing BAS, payroll, and financial statements for Australian businesses.

Skills and Attributes:

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
A commitment to providing high-quality service and meeting deadlines.
Experience in a client-facing role is a plus.
