Job description

Position Overview:
 We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Operations Assistant to support our team in data analytics, tracking, and managing paperwork related to EPR compliance and circular economy initiatives. As a key member of our operations team, you will assist in gathering, processing, and analyzing data to ensure the smooth execution of programs aimed at reducing waste and increasing recycling. You will also help maintain records, assist with reports, and support the team in various administrative tasks that drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analytics & Reporting:
    • Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources related to EPR compliance, waste reduction, and recycling efforts.
    • Assist in preparing regular reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
    • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to waste diversion and recycling programs.
  2. Tracking & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of all compliance documents, tracking forms, and other paperwork related to EPR regulations.
    • Ensure that all data and paperwork are up-to-date and compliant with applicable laws and internal standards.
    • Assist in creating and updating spreadsheets, databases, and tracking systems to ensure efficient workflow.
  3. Program Support:
    • Assist with the coordination and implementation of various programs and projects aimed at supporting producers in compliance with EPR laws.
    • Help prepare and distribute informational materials and documents to producers, governments, and stakeholders.
    • Support the team in maintaining communication with producers to ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
  4. Administrative & Operational Support:
    • Provide general administrative support to the operations team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing meeting notes.
    • Coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings, workshops, and events.
    • Help identify and streamline operational processes to improve efficiency within the team.
  5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between data analytics, tracking systems, and EPR compliance efforts.
    • Assist in preparing materials for meetings with government agencies, businesses, and community organizations involved in recycling and waste reduction.

Required Skills:

  • Basic data analytical skills
  • Prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Proficiency in MicroSoft365, with Expert skills in Microsoft WORD, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution preferred 
  • 2+ years experience in an operations or administrative role
  • Applicants must have valid Driver’s License

Compensation and Other Information:

  • Location: Remote in Colorado with ability to occasionally travel to the Boulder area
  • Salary range is based on a variety of factors. The base salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors in accordance with applicable law, including the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location. Additional Incentive Awards will be offered in addition to the base salary conditional upon meeting certain performance factors, as set forth more fully in any offer of employment made. In addition to base salary and an incentive opportunity, this role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance, retirement, and paid time off.
