Your future tasks

We rely on your expertise when it comes to ensuring compliance with internal and external risk guidelines, market standards, and requirements.
You will be responsible for risk approval processes for commodity and energy-related products, counterparties and trading strategies, and escalating risk-related issues to relevant committees.
You will take charge of implementing and continuously developing market, credit and liquidity risk control processes to ensure they align with GETEC’s risk strategy and regulatory requirements.
Additionally, you will coordinate risk committees, prepare relevant reports, and analyze current exposures as well as expected market developments.
In your role, you will monitor trading activity and investigate breaches, and will conduct stress tests to estimate potential impacts of external factors on GETEC's portfolio.
Your analytical skills and proactive approach will be instrumental in making informed decisions and optimizing risk performance.

YOU AS A PERSON

You hold a master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
You have at least 5 years of professional experience in commodity, market, credit or liquidity risk management and first experience in the energy industry - this is a must-have.
Programming skills (e.g., Python, C#, or other OOP languages) are a plus.
You have fluent English skills; German is an advantage.
You are resident in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands or Switzerland.
You have strong analytical skills, a hands-on approach and the ability to interpret complex data and draw action-oriented conclusions.
