Job description

Mutual of Omaha’s Workplace Solutions division is looking for an inspiring Supervisor to lead our Evidence of Insurability (EOI) Underwriting Team. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

 

  • Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

 

  • Lead and Inspire: Manage a high-performing team, fostering growth and accountability while maintaining an approachable leadership style.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee daily workflows, performance metrics, and ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Make Smart Decisions: Use sound judgment to assess risk, review complex cases, and escalate when necessary.
  • Foster Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, policyholders, brokers, and external partners to achieve business goals.
  • Improve Processes: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and implement changes that drive performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay Engaged: Be present and accessible to your team, providing guidance and resolving challenges as they arise.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

 

  • Leadership Expertise: Proven experience leading teams, holding them accountable, and driving performance in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in insurance, with an understanding of underwriting processes, compliance, and risk management.
  • Strategic Skills: Strong decision-making, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relationship Builder: Excellent communication skills with a knack for fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Proactive Mindset: Adaptable, resilient, and always looking for ways to improve.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

 

  • Medical terminology knowledge or experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile Release Train methodologies.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational efficiency.
