Career Opportunity
Cariloop is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Strategic Development to drive growth and expand our footprint. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving revenue goals by promoting Cariloop’s innovative caregiving solutions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission, adept at consultative selling, and skilled in navigating complex sales cycles.
The ideal candidate for this position will also have progressive years of experience driving growth in the HR/employee benefits ecosystem with demonstrated success meeting and exceeding annual sales quotas.
Cariloop is proud to support a remote work environment in order to bring together top talent. Ideally, the Director of Strategic Development should be based in and able to support the East Coast region to effectively collaborate with regional partners and stakeholders.
Your Role
As Director of Strategic Development, you will drive Cariloop's growth and market leadership by developing and executing strategies to expand our client base to deliver on Cariloop’s mission of empowering caregivers with the support and resources they need to confidently navigate their caregiving journey.
Business Development: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within your assigned territory by leveraging your personal network, sales acumen, market insights, and strategic outreach.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets, with a focus on engaging employers, benefits consultants, and other key partners. Leverage industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities in the caregiving and benefits industry to successfully position Cariloop in the market.
Collaborative Selling: Partner with internal teams, including marketing and customer success, to deliver seamless, client-focused solutions that align with Cariloop’s value proposition.
Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales records, prepare regular reports, and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Representation: Serve as a brand ambassador for Cariloop at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, showcasing the company’s mission and solutions.
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales, strategic development, business development, or a related field, preferably within the employee benefits or healthcare sectors.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field of study preferred.
Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in healthcare, employee benefits, or related fields.
Strong understanding of the Northeast market and its unique dynamics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to anticipate market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas.
Ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with brokers, prospects and partners
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
Proficiency in CRM tools and sales technology.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
