Job description

Our client is seeking a Sonography Supervisor to oversee the daily operations and staffing of the Ultrasound Department. This is an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates and quality control, while contributing to the development of policies and procedures for the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sonography, including breast ultrasound experience, and will be ready to take on both administrative and clinical responsibilities in a level I trauma center setting.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Ultrasound Department.
Ensure compliance with quality imaging standards, regulatory agencies, and quality control measures for sonographers, radiologists, physicists, equipment, and patient records.
Perform clinical procedures as needed and oversee clinical instruction for ultrasound students and sonographers.
Assist in the development and implementation of Radiology policies and procedures.
Manage departmental staffing, schedules, and staffing needs for optimal department functioning.
Assist with budgetary responsibilities and long-range planning for the Ultrasound Department.
Provide support during off-hours via phone as needed.
Collaborate with the management team to meet departmental goals and objectives.

Must Haves:

Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Current certification in Sonography (ARDMS).
At least five years of progressive experience in sonography, with specific experience in breast ultrasound.
Experience in inspection and accreditation related to Sonography (ACR).

Nice to Haves:

Experience working in a unionized environment.
Experience with project management and/or budget planning.
Previous lead sonographer experience.

Location: This position requires in-person reporting to the specified location in Burlington, VT.

Salary: $104,624 - $156,936

Signing Bonus: $15,000, paid in three installments.
Relocation Package: $9,200.
