Job description

Our client is seeking a Sonography Supervisor to oversee the daily operations and staffing of the Ultrasound Department. This is an opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates and quality control, while contributing to the development of policies and procedures for the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sonography, including breast ultrasound experience, and will be ready to take on both administrative and clinical responsibilities in a level I trauma center setting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Ultrasound Department.
  • Ensure compliance with quality imaging standards, regulatory agencies, and quality control measures for sonographers, radiologists, physicists, equipment, and patient records.
  • Perform clinical procedures as needed and oversee clinical instruction for ultrasound students and sonographers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Radiology policies and procedures.
  • Manage departmental staffing, schedules, and staffing needs for optimal department functioning.
  • Assist with budgetary responsibilities and long-range planning for the Ultrasound Department.
  • Provide support during off-hours via phone as needed.
  • Collaborate with the management team to meet departmental goals and objectives.

Must Haves:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Current certification in Sonography (ARDMS).
  • At least five years of progressive experience in sonography, with specific experience in breast ultrasound.
  • Experience in inspection and accreditation related to Sonography (ACR).

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Experience with project management and/or budget planning.
  • Previous lead sonographer experience.



Location: This position requires in-person reporting to the specified location in Burlington, VT.

Salary: $104,624 - $156,936

  • Signing Bonus: $15,000, paid in three installments.
  • Relocation Package: $9,200.
