The Digital Wallet Director is responsible for the overarching design of our financial services products both in wallet and on kiosk inclusive of evaluating partnerships, technology accelerators, market conditions and geographical expansion opportunities. This role works closely with Coinstar’s Business Development, Product Management, Sales and Marketing and Technology functions. The Digital Wallet Director must navigate organizations of various sizes and identify key decision makers, propose and negotiate deal structures that benefit both parties, and think critically and strategically to grow and drive future business. This is a key leadership and innovation role responsible for driving the continued growth of Coinstar.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, in partnership with other key functions, the strategic direction of Coinstar’s financial services program both in wallet and on kiosk.
- Evaluate various types of industry partners across customer acquisition channels, enablement technologies, and key brands.
- Perform market analysis to define market size, applicable economics, competitive density and consumer need, in conjunction with other relevant Coinstar functions.
- Prioritize product roadmaps both by feature and geography.
- Assess compliance and risk considerations and controls in partnership with other Coinstar functions to evolve product capabilities as markets change.
- Contribute to marketing plans inclusive of mass marketing, targeted advertising, social campaigns, conference presence and other related programs.
- Design and oversee implementation of customer satisfaction metrics in partnership with applicable Coinstar functions.
- Lead customer quality excellence for Coinstar’s financial services program with customer benchmarking on Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Develop relationships with industry professionals, vendors, and other personnel.
- Participate in annual product revenue and expense budget setting and in-year forecasting.
Education & Experience
- 10+ years in FinTech product ownership experience, including at least 5 years in payments and/or financial services.
- Deep knowledge of payment and money movement industry dynamics, regulations, and business models in financial services industry.
- Desired experience in digital wallets with multiple partners powering the overall customer experience
- Understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) and transaction monitoring controls.
- Proven ability to bring products to market working cross-functionally with Business Development, Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance and Engineering groups.
- Ability to oversee the health of products from multiple lenses (customer satisfaction, revenue performance, risk, etc).
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent FinTech program and product design experience
- Must be highly analytical, customer and team oriented, and have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines
- Strong executive presence, with ability to influence senior leaders internally and externally, including at the C-suite level
- Demonstrated strong sense of ownership, drive towards key business goals, and entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to prioritize complex deliverables, understand key data trends, manage trade-offs, run meetings, and efficiently manage complex partner relationships
- Excellent written and oral communication
Location & Travel Expectations
- Our corporate headquarters is in Bellevue, WA (Seattle area) but remote/work from home arrangements are welcome as many peer team members are remote today.
- This position requires some business travel.
Pay And Benefits
The typical starting salary range for this position is between $160,819 - $231,579. For Washington State or jurisdictions that require the publication of the entire scale or range, the entire salary range is $160,819 and $268,031. Coinstar utilizes geographically based pay ranges, within the United States, which allows us to pay competitively and consistently based on location. Within the range for the applicable geographic area, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share the salary range specific to your location. Short-Term and Long-Term bonus incentives are a part of the total compensation package and are based on Company and Individual performance.
