Job Title: DevOps Engineer I

Location: Fully Remote (M-F, Central Time)

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Potential for conversion to full time role)

Job Description:

A global medical device company is seeking a DevOps Engineer I to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and coordinating with various IT functions. Your main responsibilities will include:

Managing hardware/software, maintaining system documentation, tuning performance, and handling backup/recovery.
Executing planned configuration changes and interacting with users and stakeholders to implement changes and deliver support.
Coordinating release activities between development project teams and the DevOps team, while streamlining and automating processes.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or some relevant experience with an advanced degree
Strong experience with Windows and Linux servers in virtualized and cloud environments
Experience with MS SQL, GIT, Jenkins, Windows Services, and Web Services
Familiarity with multiple system/software lifecycle environments
Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a self-driven attitude
Strong scripting, infrastructure as code, and automation skills

Nice to Have:

Developer experience
Experience with Octopus Deploy, Docker, Kubernetes, Mongo Atlas, Ansible, Artifactory/JFrog, and OpenShift
