Purpose
As an Instrument Interface Engineer working with the implementation team, you will be responsible for providing expert consultation on the selection, installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of specialized instruments interfacing with Clinisys solutions. The role involves collaborating with Professional Service Consultants or clients to understand their technical requirements and ensure instruments are configured and operating effectively to meet those needs.
Essential Functions
Configure instruments and related software to meet the specifications and operational requirements of clients
Work with a Professional Service Consultant or the customer to ensure instruments are calibrated to deliver accurate and reliable results for the customer.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation relevant to the configuration of instruments.
Develop strong client relationships by understanding their needs, addressing their concerns, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Performs interface installations utilizing templated configurations to address client requirements for data capture, storage, and reporting
Basic understanding of the requirements for applying best practice implementation with Clinisys applications
Ensure that instruments and practices comply with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, etc.).
Responsible for the organization and prioritization of assigned projects and tasks to meet deliverable requirements
Capable of independently analyzing and resolving complex system problems
Coordinate activities with outside vendors, client resources, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery
Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending improvements or upgrades to clients’ current systems
Resolve project issues on time or determine when escalation to senior staff or management is required.
Collaborate with and mentor other Professional Services Consultants to expand my and others' depth and breadth of knowledge of Clinisys products.
Effectively organize and prioritize project tasks to ensure timely completion of projects assigned.
Complete other tasks as assigned.

Required Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
3+ years’ experience in instrumentation technology, calibration techniques, or equipment consulting, preferably with a LIS or LIMS system
3+ years’ experience in programming/data mapping, change management, technical support, and customer service
3+ years’ experience with Azure/Cloud/SaaS environments
Knowledge of PL/SQL and C#
Knowledge of Network Protocols and Communications (TCP/IP, terminal servers, DB9 and DB25 cabling), file sharing, and SFTP
Experience and understanding of API rules and protocols
Experience and knowledge of ASTM, HL7 standards, and other protocols
Preferred Experience & Education
Experience working with Rhapsody Interface Engine or knowledge of Mirth, Ensemble, Iguana, or similar interface engines
Working knowledge and setup of third-party LIS or LIMS instrument interface configurations and networking protocols
Understanding of LIS and LIMS environment and testing requirements
Knowledge or experience working with Clinisys applications

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the $84,400 - $114,400 annual base salary range. However, the successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the exact starting pay may be above or below this range.

Work is performed in a typical office setting with minimal health or safety hazards exposure—prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Up to 20% travel may be required.
