As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

Role Mandate: The purpose of this position is to provide analytical, administrative and data management support for the control brand sustainability team.  This will include a seafood sustainability project to collect relevant sustainability information from various sources to enable reporting and support compliance efforts. Exposure to various other sustainability initiatives may include packaging, palm oil and animal welfare.

Accountabilities:

  • Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders and access various databases to collect sustainability information
  • Review sustainability information and certificates for accuracy
  • Enter relevant sustainability data into systems as required
  • Provide regular updates and reports on progress
  • Identify any challenges and make recommendations on how to address them
  • Assist with projects related to other sustainability initiatives as needed
  • Support the development and implementation of a long-term data collection process and training program

Role Requirements:

  • Enrolled in or completed a post-secondary program
  • Interest and study in sustainability or related field is an asset, but not required
  • Analytical skill set with ability to manage large amounts of complex data
  • Team player, one who is both collaborative with peers and management, and easily displays initiative and self-motivation to ensure projects stay on track
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written), confidence in ability to work with senior level colleagues
  • General tools: Microsoft Office suite, with specific strong abilities in Excel and familiarity with databases, data entry
  • Proprietary tools: Ability to quickly develop acute familiarity with LBL reporting tools, including: Microstrategy, Packaging Specification database (FMP), SAP, Bamboo Rose, etc.

Performance Measures:

  • Timely, accurate and complete collection and aggregation of sustainability data
  • Feedback from stakeholders on ability to collaborate, resolve problems, and add value
