As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office (to be determined by each business unit).

Role mandate:

As an Assistant Product Manager, you will be part of the team that is responsible for building and maintaining programs in our control labels. Reporting into a Product Manager, an Assistant Product Manager drives the timely delivery of new products to the market and completes updates to existing products. In addition, the Assistant Product Manager will support strategic projects and analysis within the category.

Core accountabilities:

  • Ensure on-time and on-strategy delivery of new products and updates to existing products

  • Assisting the product teams in category/brand specific deep dives to aid in building out strategic plans.

  • Competitive category reviews for specific area of focus and opportunity.

  • Monitor the development and execution process with Product Management, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Product Technologists

  • Support the PM in the development of a strategic product plan and SAP product briefs reflecting business priorities which meet or exceed category financial objectives

  • Support and execution of our cross category plastic initiatives.

  • Working cross functionally to ensure our PC Express platform is accurate and up to date for all key brands.

Skills, knowledge and education:

  • Well developed project management skills are critical

  • Highly organized, able to prioritize effectively and work independently in a fast paced environment

  • Strong time management skills and problem solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

  • Strong work ethic with a passion for detail and accuracy
