We have an opportunity for several Adjuster Technical Leads in Commercial Claims to join our great team within Loss Adjusting Services (LAS) on a home working basis.

Your role

Your role involves providing technical development and coaching direction to the Commercial Loss Adjusting team, who handle claims assessments in the field, generally ranging between £10K and £100K. You will be responsible for making recommendations in line with customer propositions, product policies, risk strategy, appetite, and business performance targets.

A key part of your role will be acting as a referral point for the team on technical matters when assessing the scene of loss or events, gathering relevant information, documenting findings, and advising customers. Additionally, you will take audit output to monitor leakage and ensure process compliance, using your findings to identify training and development needs.

You will be field-based, working in various locations, and may also manage your own caseload of higher-value claims on an end-to-end project-managed basis, dealing directly with customers. Good analytical, communication, and organisational skills are essential for success in this role, as well as the ability to provide guidance and manage claims efficiently and effectively.

About You

You are a knowledgeable claims professional with a deep understanding of handling large, complex commercial claims, ideally within property insurance. Your technical knowledge allows you to effectively control leakage and optimise indemnity spend while ensuring claims are processed quickly and in line with company and regulatory standards.

Your role will require a good level of skills in areas such as negotiation, relationship building, judgment, and data analysis, enabling you to make sound decisions and deliver tailored solutions.

You’ll demonstrate full compliance with health and safety regulations and all relevant policies, ensuring the highest standards are maintained.

This role offers excellent opportunities for career progression, potentially leading to Technical Services Manager or leadership roles in large or complex cases.
