About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tax Accountant and Bookkeeper to join its dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse client base, contribute to the firm's business objectives, and deliver outstanding client service.

Responsibilities:

Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
Preparation and review of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Installment Activity Statements (IAS), and other ATO statements.
Conducting tax research and assisting with client advice, including tax planning, tax minimization strategies, Division 7A, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), etc.
Direct client interaction, ensuring high levels of service are met.
Collaboration with the accounting and bookkeeping team to achieve client outcomes.
Assisting with administrative tasks such as compiling tax letters, managing ASIC/corporate secretarial functions, and preparing invoices.
Maintaining internal records, including the BAS register and individual tax return lodgment status.
Supporting social media and marketing efforts by formatting and posting content, maintaining the website, and assisting with presentations.
Providing personal EA support to the Director, including managing calendars, conducting research, and coordinating travel arrangements.
Contributing to upcoming projects, such as software conversion, template development, and cloud migration.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with social media content creation tools (e.g., Canva).
Bookkeeping experience.
Experience with Xero or MYOB accounting software.
Experience with Australian tax law and practices.
