Job description

JOB PURPOSE

The Parcel Auditor will analyze and correct parcel and regional carrier invoices for rating accuracy for assigned clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of carrier services provided, tracking, and reporting and billing methods.
  • Identify opportunities for parcel cost savings.
  • Utilize effective problem solving skills when verifying potential claims identified by our proprietary auditing systems.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders while building client and carrier relationships.
  • Collaborate with team members with implementing new contracts and rate sheets.
  • Effectively communicate information to carriers, clients and internal teams in a clear, concise and organized manner regarding rate issues, recovery details or contract updates.
  • Utilize time management skills to prioritize daily tasks of claims to be completed.
  • Demonstrates accurate and timely updates of claims information and resolution in our proprietary systems.
  • Provide insight regarding account issues with client and internal departments when necessary.
  • Provide cost savings recommendations and other logistics expertise and advice to clients and or internal departments.
  • Manage ticket queues for special processing needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 1-3 years of equivalent experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Basic parcel rate knowledge.
  • Ability to execute spreadsheets and other analytical tools.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, carriers, internal departments or leadership in a professional and timely manner.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively present information to clients and leadership.
  • Ability to apply business and accounting mathematics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally, the employee is required to lift boxes up to 20 pounds. 

SCHEDULING

  • This is a full-time benefits-eligible position, working Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. An employee in this position must be available to work occasionally on weekends and evenings, during peak periods. 

TRAVEL

  • Local travel is required. Out of state travel is limited, but may be required for special training/conferences.
