At AMO Pictures, we're seeking a Localization Specialist with a native level of Arabic to join our dubbing department. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality translationі and subtitles creation for our Arabic-language video content. Also, you will be an advisor for our Arabic location, whose expertise will be invaluable in guiding our localization efforts.

Responsibilities:

Perform professional subtitle translation with full comprehension of audiovisual content context.

Adapt translations to reflect the cultural nuances of the target location.

Ensure subtitles' technical and linguistic quality, guaranteeing cultural appropriateness and sensitivity for the target audience.

Adhere to corporate standards and methodological guidelines for localization and translation.

Initiate and implement methodological improvements to translation processes, enhancing their efficiency and quality.

Comply with platform policies regarding vocabulary, acceptable terminology, and phrasing.

Maintain effective communication with a multicultural team of translators, ensuring consistency in translations and contributing to overall team quality.

Conduct expert evaluations of subtitle translations, providing unbiased and in-depth outcomes analysis.

Test innovative solutions to optimize the subtitle creation process.

Provide expert advice on localization practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

A bachelor's degree in linguistics or translation or a related field is preferred.

Native-level proficiency in Arabic and C1 or higher in English.

Minimum 2 years of experience in audiovisual content translation.

Deep understanding of the cultural nuances of the Arabic audience.

Knowledge of audiovisual content localization specifics.

Prior experience working with SRT format files and understanding its technical features.

Knowledge of technical subtitling standards (timestamps, character limits, formatting).

Proficiency in specialized software for working with subtitles.

Excellent proofreading and editing skills, with the ability to identify lexical, grammatical, orthographic, and punctuation errors.

Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and task requirements.

Time management skills.
