Chief of Staff

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Chief of Staff at RootstockLabs, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's strategic initiatives, optimizing organizational effectiveness, and supporting the executive team. You will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to ensure that RootstockLabs operates efficiently and effectively, enabling us to achieve our mission. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Function as the right-hand to and sparring partner for the CEO providing strategic guidance and support to help achieve the company's goals.
• Provide strategic and management support to the company's executive leadership team (mainly the CEO) in making effective decisions and overseeing operational topics from ideation to project management and implementation.
• Support the CEO’s strategic priorities including identifying priorities, and metrics for success and acting as a delegate for the CEO by preparing and attending meetings
• Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans and drive initiatives such as cross-functional strategic processes, roadmap planning, working flawlessly with GTM, Product, Tech, People and Finance.
• Research and prepare presentation decks, research, and other materials on strategic priorities for meetings and events. Plus support preparation for internal and external events on behalf of the CEO.
• Coordinate and project manage the execution of assigned strategic initiatives, with specific responsibility for cross-functional delivery of key projects, ensuring smooth collaboration across multiple teams, tracking performance, and successful completion.
• If required, participate in the RootstockLabs Board meetings or external meetings to support the CEO.
• Manage relationships and communication between the CEO with team members and other external stakeholders.
• Organize and gather information from various departments and meetings on assigned strategic priorities and report that information, along with recommendations, to the CEO.
• Improve existing or developing new processes to keep the company as efficient as possible and identify operational and structural opportunities.
• Maintain, improve and regularly communicate our goal-setting and evaluation framework (OKRs) in order to execute our strategy effectively.
• Create market intelligence which helps us to identify trends and informs our decision-making process. Conduct research necessary to provide insight and analysis on firm strategy and operations. Develop and continuously improve competitor and market data intelligence framework.
• Provide full visibility on internal performance (incl. new requirements). Track and provide tactical support for the execution and implementation of the strategic pillars and other key initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 8+ years in strategic, operational, or leadership roles, ideally within the blockchain sector
• Strong understanding of Bitcoin, blockchain technology, and the cryptocurrency landscape
• Proven track record of successfully leading and executing strategic initiatives and project management
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage complex projects and drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
