Job description

Role Overview:

McAfee is a leader in threat research. As a security researcher in our core research team, you will focus on reverse engineering and advance malware analysis. The candidate must have the passion and experience necessary to turn research findings into practical threat detections.

This is a remote position in India. We will only consider candidates currently in India and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

You must have awareness of threats around the globe, regional threats and top adversaries / criminal groups focusing on malware including affiliate networks pertaining to Windows OSes.
Process incoming requests from customers and Support team regarding malware analysis and detection.
Provide static and Dynamic analysis of malwares including - infection, propagation, lateral movement, exploitation POCs, etc.
Can extract malicious patterns from an object and author effective detection rule.
Participate in the incident response process on need basis.

About You:

1 to 2 years of Security industry experience involving C,Python, Django, Dynamic Analysis, and reverse engineering,
Understanding of PE file format.
Knowledge of Windows OS internals - memory, threads, processes, API, etc.
Proficiency in debuggers usage (OllyDbg, IDA pro).
Experience with network traffic analysis tools (Wireshark, Fiddler).
