Abbott’s Heart Failure business is recruiting for a brand new Therapy Development Manager to join the UK team. The role is field based and will cover the UK. Ideal candidate’s location would be Central/South UK.

This role will be focused on Abbott’s CardioMEMS Heart Failure System, an innovative diagnostic sensor, which is the leading remote monitoring platform for both HFpEF1 and HFrEF patients 

What You’ll Do

As a Therapy Development Manager you will take care of coordination and optimization of activities in implanting centers as well as referral sites in a respective area to present Abbott as ideal long-term partner in the heart surgical as well as cardiology field and to develop inpatient and outpatient heart failure referral programs. This is a commercial sales manager role, in this role you will be responsible to meet and drive negotiations with procurement departments hospitals, pricing, order processing and coordinating. Additionally, you will lead any market development activities, events and the clinical support.

In this role, you will need to achieve regional sales and strategy targets as well as identify and generate sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound calling activities. Furthermore, you will assess the heart failure business and market development opportunities to drive sales and provides field support in the implementation of specific heart failure marketing and sales initiatives.

75% travelling is anticipated in this role

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Experience in a clinical setting providing acute or outpatient care to patients with cardiovascular diseases. Experience in Heart Failure is considered as an asset.
  • Commercial acumen and proven track record of successfully managing a sales region/territory
  • Marketing and communication experience would be considered as an asset
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Show entrepreneurial skills – out of the box thinking
  • Advanced product and industry knowledge
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills
  • Strong presentation skills
