Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Business Analytics team is a vital part of Mural’s Data Analytics & PMO organization. We are dedicated to turning data into actionable insights that align with company priorities and fuel business growth. Our team of Data Analysts and Analytics Engineers plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive visibility into monthly and quarterly performance. In addition, we develop dashboards that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.

YOUR MISSION

As a Senior Marketing Data Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping and executing Mural’s data strategy by focusing on consumer marketing and product-led growth (PLG) initiatives. This role requires a blend of marketing analytics expertise, data fluency, and strategic insight to measure, analyze, and provide recommendations for Marketing teams. You’ll work closely with leadership to create actionable insights, build self-service reporting solutions, and develop metric strategies that drive growth and improve decision-making across the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Leverage Analytics Tools: Use analytics tools to gather and analyze data, providing comprehensive insights on consumer behavior and the effectiveness of marketing efforts.

  • Optimize the Marketing Tech Stack: Partner with marketing and sales operations teams to utilize platforms like Marketo, Inflection, and Salesforce, ensuring marketing and lead-generation efforts are tracked and optimized for impact.

  • Deliver Product-Led Growth Insights: Develop a deep understanding of the customer journey and product usage patterns, connecting insights to drive product-led growth strategies that support user acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion.

  • Create Dashboards and Reports: Partner with data engineering to create and maintain dashboards in Tableau, visualizing critical KPIs that reflect business performance and drive data-driven strategies in Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.

  • Own Change Management Initiatives: Proactively lead long-term analytics and data initiatives, using strong project management and cross-departmental collaboration skills to drive impactful changes across the business.

  • Share Insights with Leadership: Present findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to Senior Leadership in Monthly Business Reviews, supporting strategic planning and performance evaluation.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  •  5+ years of Data Analytics Experience: Proven experience in Marketing Analytics, Consumer Marketing, or Product Analytics, ideally with a focus on PLG or similar growth models.

  • Expertise in Digital Marketing Tools: Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 or similar digital analytics tools and marketing platforms like Marketo and Inflection.

  • Advanced Visualization Skills: Demonstrated experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools to convey complex data in a clear and impactful manner.

  • Proficiency in SQL: Strong SQL skills to query and manipulate data, along with experience in integrating multiple data sources.

  • Understanding of Salesforce: Exposure and experience with Salesforce data to help drive insights for our campaigns.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Proven ability to break down complex analyses into easily digestible insights for senior leadership.

  • Problem-Solving and Project Ownership: Autonomous, resourceful, and experienced in managing ambiguity and prioritizing multiple projects independently.

  • Preferred Experience: Knowledge of pipeline tools like DBT and Airflow for efficient data processing.

For roles based in New York City, California, Colorado, and Washington, the base salary for this role ranges from $140,000-$160,000 + benefits. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation.
