We are looking for a Junior Manual QA Tester to be responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Working with cross-functional teams to test features from a functional and component perspective, they must also validate integration with other systems whilst ensuring that that Test Assurance standards set by the practice are met.

You will be accountable for:
- Learning to analyse requirements to identify all relevant tests scenarios and edge cases.
- Working with developers to understand the flow of code.
- Creating and documenting comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Implementing datasets to support, functional, integration and E2E testing activities.
- Supporting the team in estimating, prioritising, planning and coordinating quality testing activities.
- Testing the modules and component parts of the application in isolation and integrated.
- Identifying potential issues and escalate appropriately.
- Supporting automation testers on shifting left critical scenarios
- Recognising routine tasks as learning opportunities and seek ways to improve/automate
- Executing tests during the development lifecycle, at sprint and release level
- Executing all levels of testing regularly and no less than at every sprint:
- System - functional
- Integration
- Regression
- User Acceptance testing
- Logging test executions and tracking defects.
- Supporting on the investigation and troubleshoot of issues and non-conforming software.
- Tracking quality assurance metrics around defects.
- Learning and being passionate about new testing tools and test strategies.
To be successful in this role you will require the following…
- An understanding of the role of a software tester within the software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of using software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Understanding of an Agile software development team
- Ability to execute regression scripts and report accurately
- Awareness of Databases (e.g. SQL)
- Awareness of JSON and XML data structures
- Awareness of analysing issues and route cause
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
- Passionate problem solver with a focus on high quality software
- A qualification in Computing Science or equivalent would be advantageous
