At Parexel, we all share the same goal - to improve the world's health. From clinical trials to regulatory, consulting, and market access, every clinical development solution we provide is underpinned by something special - a deep conviction in what we do.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Quality & Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated integration tests for our Mulesoft-based solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between different components and systems, with a focus on clinical trial management and enterprise applications. Your tasks will include creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts; collaborating with developers to identify and resolve integration issues; and maintaining and improving existing test frameworks within an Agile SDLC environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for Mulesoft integrations, focusing on applications such as Veeva CTMS, Workday, and Salesforce.

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.

  • Create and execute test cases for API testing, with a focus on JSON payloads.

  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve integration issues.

  • Ensure proper integration with Azure DevOps, Azure Service Bus, and Kafka.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Document test results, report defects, and track issues using Azure DevOps.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in integration testing and clinical trials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in software development and testing, with a focus on Mulesoft integrations.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to Mulesoft development and testing.

  • Experience with API testing and working with JSON payloads.

  • Familiarity with clinical trial management systems, preferably Veeva CTMS.

  • Knowledge of enterprise applications such as Workday and Salesforce.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps for project management and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Understanding of messaging systems like Azure Service Bus and Kafka.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry.

  • Familiarity with integration patterns and best practices.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.

  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
