A day in the life of an Assistant Parent Account Manager

You are responsible for the quality and depth of ING’s global relationship with multinational companies/groups headquartered in Denmark. 

Origination and execution

Under the supervision of the Parent Account Manager (PAM), you will take active part in developing the relationships; prepare the client visits and commercial proposals, coordinate business development with product specialists throughout the ING network and assure close collaboration with risk management. Prepare as well commercial approvals and join/replace PAM in commercials committees.

Commercial Client Management

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining client contact at treasury level and will therefore also be traveling to Denmark on a regular basis accompanying the PAM at client meetings. You will be preparing briefing memos and presentations for external and internal meetings. Follow up on client meetings by means of call reports ( Salesforce) / follow up on specific action points.  You are responsible for data quality and compliance requirements (with support from the Nordic T&R team who is responsible for the initiation of the KYC). You will also be representing ING at local treasury and finance conferences.         

Research & Analysis

You will be responsible for collecting information and perform analyses on (strategic) clients and prospects, including sector research and peer analyses. Follow up closely quarterly performance of clients and prospects, and provide feedback to relevant internal stakeholders e.g. risk management, lending, product specialists, the network, etc.  Provide clients with relevant / periodic information on relevant publications / information sources available within ING.

Nordic Team support

General team support which includes supporting the other team members active in other Nordic countries and support with internal presentations to ING management.

An assistant Parent Account Manager usually has a master degree (MBA in economics or comparable) and a first experience in a commercial function (preferably in banking). The candidate has the willingness to act in an international environment and is fluent in English. Knowledge of Danish is a plus.      

As a Assistant Parent Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

The team

You will be part of the Nordic team. The team consists of 20 people, a combination of coverage, Transaction Services and Transaction&Regulatory colleagues,  located in Brussels and Stockholm. With 8 different nationalities, we are a very international team. We aim to develop the relationships with all Nordic and Baltic multinational corporates. As such we travel on a bi-weekly basis  to the HQ of these companies.  For this vacancy, you will be travelling to Copenhagen and  Billund.
