About Our Client

Join our client, a leading company in the MedTech industry, as they seek a Senior Vice President of Public Affairs to provide strategic leadership across Japan, Greater China, and the Asia-Pacific region. This pivotal role will drive the development and execution of government affairs, communications, and market access strategies, ensuring alignment with the organisation's objectives and advancing its impact across the region.

Job Description

  • Lead the JAPAC public affairs strategy, ensuring alignment with regional and corporate goals to drive successful market access. Oversee market access, public affairs, and patient engagement initiatives, while implementing talent development and succession planning in line with global strategies.
  • Collaborate with key regional stakeholders and corporate leadership to align on key initiatives, building a high-performing, cohesive team that fosters growth and collaboration.
  • Advocate within government bodies and medical associations to support access strategies for Company products. Lead regional teams in cultivating relationships with health economics and HTA (health technology assessment) leaders, while engaging with local governments to drive access and form strategic partnerships with medical societies.
  • Empower the team to serve as strategic partners across business functions, influencing product strategies and decisions. Lead health economics projects, develop strategies addressing regional payer needs, and collaborate with corporate teams to implement the JAPAC communication strategy.
  • Operates autonomously, evaluating complex scenarios, balancing risks, and making creative, high-impact decisions that prioritise end results.
  • Provides mentorship, applies advanced knowledge to shape processes, and ensures standards are met, leveraging sound judgement to achieve strategic outcomes in a dynamic environment.
