Introduction

Software Developers at IBM are the backbone of our strategic initiatives to design,

do. Whether you would be working on projects internally or for a client, software

development is critical to the success of IBM and our clients worldwide. At IBM,

IBM CIC Baltic is a Client Innovation Center located in Vilnius with 300+

professionals working on client-facing or internal projects to deliver state-of-the-art

software which solves all kinds of business problems in various industries. You

would be joining Hybrid Cloud Transformation department which focuses on

advising, building, moving, and managing multi cloud environments running on IBM

Cloud, Azure, AWS or GCP.

Your Role and Responsibilities


  • Development. You will work on developing, implementing, and testing software solutions under the guidance of senior engineers. This includes writing code, debugging, and resolving software defects.
  • Collaboration. You will collaborate with other team members, including software engineers, project managers, and quality assurance (QA) professionals. This may involve participating in meetings, providing updates on your progress, and working together to solve problems.
  • Continuous learning. As an intern, you are expected to be open to learning new concepts, techniques, and best practices in software engineering. This includes staying up to date with industry trends and participating in training programs or workshops.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise


  • Web development experience with backend technologies, such as JAVA (Spring/Spring Boot) or Node.js frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools, such as Git.
  • Theoretical knowledge and practical skills using SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Theoretical knowledge of Agile methodology.
  • Fluent in English.


Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise


  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript Front-End frameworks (React or Angular).
  • Familiar with Cloud technologies and Cloud-Native application development.
  • Work experience in IT area is a big plus.
