Position Title: IT Operations Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX 

About the role

LTK is hiring an IT Operations Engineer reporting to the Director of IT. In this role, you will be joining the IT team to help build and scale the IT department to support LTK’s rapid growth. You will administer IT systems, perform endpoint management, and provide end-user support for LTK users in our Dallas-based office and a globally distributed remote workforce (700+ team members). The LTK IT environment is built on modern SaaS services and the public cloud. This role will be responsible for the administration of systems and services including (but not limited to) Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jamf, Jira, Confluence, and Dropbox, as well as Apple macOS and Windows computing devices.

How you will make an impact

  • Provide remote (USA, Europe, Asia) and in-person technical support in Dallas to LTK users (software, hardware, etc.)

  • Provide equipment logistics support (configuring and deploying equipment, handling returns, break/fix support, etc.)

  • Handle employee and contractor lifecycle management tasks (onboarding, offboarding, moves/adds/changes, etc.) in coordination with the People (HR) team

  • Assist in and contribute to the creation of IT processes, procedures, and documentation

  • Assist in the administration of systems such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jamf, Jira, Confluence, and Dropbox

  • Work with IT & Security to provide audit and reporting support

  • Work within ITIL and ITSM established best practices

  • Own assigned internal projects that will optimize the IT infrastructure and associated workflows

  • Proactively monitor enterprise systems to ensure they are protected and functioning properly, including the response to threats, vulnerabilities, or issues identified by endpoint protection and monitoring systems

  • Maintain equipment and software inventory within respective asset management systems and in line with established LTK policies and procedures

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies that can positively impact IT services provided to staff when appropriate and as assigned

  • Handle day-to-day IT Operations-related tasks.

What you will bring to LTK

  • 5+ years of experience in  IT systems administration and providing end-user support

  • Strong background and experience with Apple macOS and Microsoft Windows

  • SaaS Support & Administration (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Okta, Atlassian, etc.)

  • Experience working in SaaS-first companies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with Asset Management solutions such as Asset Panda, Freshservice, etc.

  • This role requires local travel within the Dallas metroplex to shipping centers, tech support centers, and other venues (mileage reimbursement provided)

  • Possession of an automation mindset - repeatable tasks should be automated

  • Demonstrated ability to act with urgency to accomplish business needs

  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of employees, including engineers, managers, leaders, etc.

  • Bonus Areas of Expertise

    • Support experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

    • Experience in providing support to international users in differing time zones

    • Background and experience in administering Mobile Device Management systems such as Jamf, Kandji and Microsoft Intune
