What You Will Be Doing:
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this individual will have responsibility to design and develop application software; partner with product management team in understanding business requirements; create and maintain technical design documents; create, maintain and perform unit test cases; interface with QA teams; participate and contribute to design analysis meetings and perform code reviews. The individual should work effectively with other team members, mentor junior developers, and identify effective and efficient solutions for technical problems, and provide technical training as assigned. You will use experience and analysis to design and implement solutions with input from higher level team members.
As assigned, the individual should be able to lead small teams (up to 3) of developers as technical lead and provide individual or group-based trainings.
This position is REMOTE.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop application software.
- Document technical designs, processes and test cases. Create requirement analysis documents.
- Applies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department.
- Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems.
- Uses some independent judgment to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Support on call to evaluate issues and take corrective action.
You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have:
- 7+ years’ experience in application development; SaaS or Web development experience preferred.
- Demonstrable experience and advanced knowledge of .NET framework, C#, MVC, JSON, HTML, JavaScript, T-SQL, JQuery, LINQ, XML/XSL, CSS, IIS
- Demonstrable experience with Secure Coding practices and performing code reviews
- Knowledge of industry standard patterns and practices.
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodology, Application Lifecycle management.
- Experience with Cloud hosted solutions desirable (Azure, AWS, Google)
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Kendo UI and Confluence a plus
- Experience with creating tools/scripts to replicate manual repetitive administrative processes.
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirement.
- Be a team player that can also work independently with general supervision; be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Nice To Have:
- Able to lead scrum team.
- Able to provide individual to team-based training.
- May help lead/coordinate small-medium scope projects.
- Formally leads and mentors' others.
- Experience with insurance or financial systems is a plus.
- Technology certifications are a plus.

The compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $170,000. RegEd's compensation package is based on each candidate's unique skills, qualifications and experience. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience and qualifications. The total compensation package also includes our comprehensive benefits package, vacation time, sick time, volunteer time and parental leave.
