SUMMARY:
The Clinical Manager manages the people, processes, and systems integral to the company’s clinical outcomes, ensuring excellence in customer service, patient therapy adherence, provider collaboration, and compliance with required documentation. The role supports day-to-day departmental operations, optimizing resources to achieve organizational goals, and promotes seamless cross-departmental collaboration with clinicians, sales teams, and field operations to deliver timely patient education and meet referral expectations. The manager is responsible for fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture while ensuring departmental goals align with organizational objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversees daily activities of departmental operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, production, and reporting, while ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
2. Works closely with leadership to set performance standards, make staffing recommendations, and address performance issues.
3. Leads hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of staff, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
4. Delegates responsibilities appropriately, mentors team members and develops emerging leaders within the department to ensure sustainable leadership capacity.
5. Monitors department performance against established goals, providing data-driven insights and implementing corrective actions as necessary in collaboration with leadership.
6. Partners with interdisciplinary care teams to design and implement provider-specific workflows, ensuring alignment with clinical best practices and patient care goals.
7. Ensures departmental compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and accreditation standards while identifying opportunities for process optimization.
8. Escalates and directs department activities during outages, systems issues, staffing shortages and other operational issues. Enacts contingency plans as needed.
9. Participates in company and operations meetings as requested.
10. Promotes a positive, collaborative work environment that supports employee morale, productivity, and alignment with organizational values.
11. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of critical issues and opportunities, presenting actionable solutions to address challenges and optimize outcomes.
12. Maintains a qualified staff and performs all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel and processes assigned.
13. Works with leadership to determine standards of performance for department staff. May recommend salary adjustments, transfers, promotions and dismissals.
14. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDCUATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent
2. Healthcare license (LPN/RN/RT)
PREFERRED EDCUATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. Associate’s degree or higher
2. One year or more in a healthcare leadership role
3. Home medical equipment experience
ADDTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
SUPERVISORY REPSONSBILITY:
This position assists in managing all employees of the department, including hiring, development, performance management and discipline within company and department guidelines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional or home office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is generally required to sit; frequently stands, may climb or balance; and

TRAVEL:
Some travel should be expected for this position, including occasional out of town and overnight travel.
