About This Role

The Replacement Components Sales Leader – North America Parts will have responsibility to foster and lead a large team of experienced sales professionals, overseeing outside & inside sales activities and ensuring short to long term objectives and goals for teams are met. This position also develops sales plans in support of the discipline and influences leadership on critical outside sales strategies.  The role is with Carrier Replacement Components (RC) business and is responsible for management six (6) Sales Leaders located across the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads North America team that drives sales and growth initiatives for Replacement Components business. Oversees customer account management activities and develops targeted plans to meet targets.
  • Execute on Replacement Components strategies to achieve annual double-digit sales growth targets
  • Acts as the primary contact with the highly visible / valuable customer segments including distribution, national accounts, international and CCS.
  • Leads business development activities to support the business strategy; including alternate channels, go-direct, SOW expansion and other.
  • Pursue major growth opportunities, including negotiating with potential large/complex customers or channels.
  • Works with product management leader to drive increased growth through portfolio expansion, including specific products and services by business segment.
  • Leads team to unlock new business, develops processes, negotiates value, addresses resistance to develop business.
  • Establishes personal & professional customer relationships influence opportunities.
  • Member of RC leadership team, and active across all initiatives that are linked to sales and growth.
  • Moves with speed to capture incremental growth opportunities while maintaining the profitability of the business
  • Alignment across business unit, functions and WHQ to deliver on the goals
  • Ability to leverage strong distribution partners to achieve growth

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree
  • 10 + years of combined work experience in sales, marketing, product management, and/or finance
  • 3 + years of distributor relationship building and management.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MA/MS degree 
  • 12 + years of combined work experience
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact within a cross functional team of finance, product management, sales, purchasing and marketing
  • Successful experience in leading teams and working in a matrix environment
  • Excellent problem solving and analytic skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
  • Sense of urgency, self-initiative, commitment, and sense of ownership
  • HVAC market and product knowledge
