We are looking for a competent, friendly and reliable Senior Digital Writer for our editorial team in the parenting sector as soon as possible.
As an experienced member of the editorial team, you will be expected to produce high-quality content quickly, provide support to the junior writers, and get involved with planning and implementation of the content strategy.
A crucial part of this role will be to support with creating new ideas, thinking with an inclusive mindset to help all our parents and share this content on our website and social media accounts.
Focusing on the Motherandbaby.com brand, this role will report into the Digital Group Editor and work closely with the SEO team. You will help create and execute plans for affiliate led content on MotherandBaby.com, thinking about things like trending topics, top product suggestions and celebrity best buys.

We follow a hybrid working model, so you will be expected to work from home and our office location in Peterborough.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilising your journalistic and industry experience, you will provide support the wider editorial team
- Creating and optimising high-quality and helpful content in the Motherandbaby.com segment that precisely meets the needs of our valued audience
- This includes researching, planning and writing comprehensive product tests and buying guides according to editorial guidelines and in line with current SEO standards
- In addition this will include more complex and research-intensive topics and formats
- Creating accompanying photo and video material to provide our users with the best offers tailored to their needs in all relevant media formats
- Customizing content for various digital platforms, considering the unique requirements and best practices for each
- Attending relevant press events and product launches and supporting sales events like Prime Day and Black Friday
- Working in close collaboration with e.g. wider editorial or Audience Development / SEO management
- Supporting the editor/deputy editor with planning and implementation of the content strategy, drawing on expertise from around the business to ensure the subjects we are covering are relevant and topical
- You have a passion to create content for everyone and ensure content serves a diverse audience
What You'll Bring:
- You know which trends are currently affecting the market, you know what our users want, have a good feel for topics, have in-depth specialist knowledge and can also prepare complex content in an appealing and understandable way for our users
- You are willing to learn and participate in any training required with the Bauer Academy
- You have sophisticated SEO knowledge and know how to get texts to rank
- At best, you already have some experience in writing product tests and know how to best support and advise readers in their purchasing decisions
- You are familiar with common content KPI and are able to use them to evaluate the performance of your texts
- You have a collaborative mindset, can-do attitude with a willingness to get involved and a hunger to learn more
- You are excellent in writing and other communication skills
- You have an excellent time management as well as an understanding of prioritisation, are self-organised and have a hands-on mentality
