Job description

This is a remote position.


As the
Brand Director and Head of Marketing , you will lead and own all the marketing outcomes for Avail, focusing on narrative building, branding, positioning, content, partnerships, and community engagement. This role combines strategy and creative vision with hands-on operational execution, including building and managing the team, overseeing the marketing budget, defining and growing Avail's brand globally. You will ensure Avail's voice and vibes resonate with both crypto-native and mainstream audiences, while driving adoption, visibility, and trust in your ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

1. Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive brand strategy, ensuring that Avail's brand resonates with key Web3 audiences, including crypto-native communities, developers, and institutional players.

  • Define Avail's positioning as a leader in the modular blockchain space, maintaining brand integrity and differentiation across all touchpoints.

  • Play an active role ensuring brand alignment and expression across all touchpoints, from marketing, through to BD, founders, and more.

2. Team Leadership, Hiring & Development

  • Build, mentor, and manage the marketing team, including hiring top talent to refine and scale the function effectively.

  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and high performance within the team, ensuring alignment with company goals and growth objectives.

3. Strategic Marketing Initiatives

  • Oversee the creation of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social, content, and experiential marketing.

  • Spearhead initiatives to expand brand awareness globally, ensuring consistency, quality and taste in messaging across all platforms and marketing channels.

  • Institute effective attribution across marketing initiatives, regularly run feedback sessions, and iterate the strategy and process per quarter

4. Community & Ecosystem Engagement

  • Collaborate with product and community teams to foster strong engagement with Web3 communities.

  • Ensure marketing strategies are deeply integrated with Avail’s ecosystem growth, including developer relations, partnerships, and community-driven content.

5. Budget Management & Performance Tracking

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently across campaigns, events, and partnerships.

  • Set measurable objectives for marketing campaigns and track performance against KPIs, optimizing spend for maximum ROI.

6. Public Relations & Media Strategy

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and Web3 thought leaders.

  • Develop and execute public relations strategies to enhance Avail’s visibility and credibility within the blockchain industry.

7. Partnerships & Collaborations

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with influencers, brands, and creators in the Web3 space to co-create marketing campaigns and content.

  • Leverage these partnerships to drive cross-branding opportunities, expanding Avail’s influence and cultural relevance.

8. Innovation & Experimentation

  • Lead the charge in identifying and adopting emerging trends in Web3 marketing, including new content formats, experiential technologies, and community-based initiatives.

  • Encourage creative risk-taking within the marketing team to explore unique ways of engaging both crypto-native and mainstream audiences.

9. Market Research & Consumer Insights

  • Oversee market research efforts to gain insights into consumer behavior, preferences, and trends in Web3.

  • Use data-driven analysis to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.

10. Investor Relations & Growth Strategy

  • Collaborate closely with the executive team to ensure marketing aligns with broader business objectives, including investor relations and product positioning.

  • Drive marketing efforts that support fundraising, ecosystem growth, and user adoption.



Requirements
  • Proven experience in senior marketing roles, ideally as a Brand Director or Head of Marketing, with strong familiarity in the Web3 or blockchain space.

  • Expertise in brand positioning, content marketing, digital campaigns, and community engagement in Web3 environments.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional marketing teams, including recruitment and development.

  • Ability to manage large budgets effectively and track marketing performance across channels.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external partners.

  • Proven track record of scaling brands globally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
