Granicus is seeking a Solution Consultant for our Australia Gvmt. Digitial Platforms and Services team! The Solution Consultant is a highly strategic technical consulting resource for Granicus. This person is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working cooperatively with the sales team to help our federal, state, and local government customers identify the best-fitting solutions to meet their service delivery goals.

Our Solution Consultants serve as both technical and consultative strategy leads, analyzing the current state customer experience, then mapping an idealized journey to meet our customers’ goals and inspire new approaches.
Solution Consultants lead discovery and technical demonstration activities to understand our customers’ needs and their overall goals. They conduct individual interviews, facilitate discovery workshops, and review content or data to glean insights – then develop actionable plans for enhanced digital experiences. They produce artifacts to aid the development of strategies that meet real human needs – including personas, journey maps, messaging frameworks and more. Our Solution Consultants are responsible to provide agencies with guidance in various spheres of business, including engagement strategy, business transformation, and digital and innovation capabilities.
Solution Consultants identify technical issues assuring complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process, establishing and maintaining strong relationships throughout the sales cycle. They create combined solutions of services and technology to facilitate critical business objectives for Granicus customers. A good Solution Consultant needs to be an expert in government technology and business practices – and have excellent communication skills to work with various leaders throughout the agency to support the goals and objectives of the organization.
The opportunities to make a difference while designing solutions for the public sector are limitless. Projects range from designing and demonstrating the possibilities of a rural county’s digital communications initiative, to technically architecting a state-wide social services communication initiative, to creating a proof of concept for a large federal agency’s digital audience project in a short timeframe. This position reports to the Manager of the Solution Consulting team and works alongside other Enterprise Solution Consultants within our Local Enterprise, State, and Federal sales teams.
Within Granicus, we're the Enterprise Solution Consulting Team – a cross-functional team of solution consultants, architects, and strategists focused on helping agencies determine what solutions will best meet their needs.

What your impact will look like:Evaluate internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes – and suggest improvements.Create business architecture models to reflect the organization's strategies and goals.Evaluate agency systems for discrepancies, vulnerabilities, and improvements.Work with product and sales teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver solutions with the end-goal of sales in mind.Meet with agencies and help them reimagine the connection between people and the government.Develop and deliver effective Pitch, Solution, and Technical Demonstrations of key aspects of Granicus solutions that show how the solution will help the customer achieve goals.Build and maintain a library of solutions, customer examples, supporting collateral, and POCs.Build and maintain demonstration websites and assets that will be used by our team and others throughout Granicus.Guide technical scoping conversations with the agency and our Granicus implementation teams.Assist with sales and our own team's learning paths through content, coaching, and training projects.Learn the full suite of solutions that make up the Granicus platform through constant training, review of product releases, and internal product discussions.Assist with lead generation and marketing efforts through webinar and conference support.You will love this role if you have / are:Four or more years of pre-sales, consulting, or customer-facing service delivery experienceCurrent or prior government experience and savviness (FT/PT employment, military, or volunteering)Expertise in core UX/CX skills, such as human-centered design, journey mapping, persona development, content strategy, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, etc. – ideally supporting a government clientAchievement and experience articulating SaaS solutions and their value.Ability to articulate technical solutions to a non-technical audience, both externally and internallyTechnical proficiency with business tools such as Office, Salesforce, and TeamsStrong desire to work in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, workshop facilitation skills, and cross-functional leadership skills in a heavily client-facing capacityTrack record of continuous learning and solution-findingStrategic thinking skills, with the ability to exercise independence, autonomy, and sound judgment in making account recommendations and decisions.Ability to enlist internal stakeholders to help navigate client relationships.Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment and to work well under pressure.Experience and/or enthusiasm for working with government.Passion for public service, citizen engagement, and all things digitalAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong personal initiative and on-time delivery of project tasks and deliverables.Personal drive and determination to succeed through communication and collaboration.Commitment to making a difference!Other Traits for Success:Demonstrate a polished, professional relationship with colleagues and customers.Assume positive intent.Collaborative.
