Job Summary
The Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) Administration and Program Management Support Services (APMSS) program provides administrative, analytical, and technical expertise to support OBP’s mission of mitigating Improvised Explosive Device (IED) threats and enhancing national security. Through this program, personnel contribute to operational efficiency, knowledge sharing, and strategic alignment to achieve OBP’s critical objectives.
The Senior Writer/Editor ensures the creation, revision, and finalization of written materials that align with OBP and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) standards. This role focuses on high-quality content development, compliance, and adherence to style guidelines.
Specific Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread documents for clarity, grammar, and adherence to CISA and OBP guidelines.
- Create style guides and templates to standardize and train writers on OBP’s preferred style.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce accurate and high-quality content.
- Verify information through research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy.
- Serve as the alternate Project Manager in the absence of the Project Manager.
- 10+ years of technical editing or copywriting experience, including policy content creation using NIST standards.
- Proficiency in Drupal or similar platforms and experience drafting content for multiple mediums.
- Experience working within an Executive Secretariat Team.
- Experience in national security, interagency collaboration, and operational efficiency preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Normal office environment.
Hours of Operation
Generally perform all work between the hours of 0800 and 1700 EST, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays). However, there may be occasions when the employee shall be required to work other than normal business hours, including weekends and holidays, to fulfill requirements under this contract.
Travel Requirements
Travel to 1110 North Glebe Road, Alexandria, VA 22201. Travel to Huntsville Alabama, USA, may be required to support this requirement.
