THE OPPORTUNITY
As a contractor, you will collaborate closely with Riskonnect’s Managed Services Consultants to ensure exceptional service delivery for our clients. Upon joining, you will quickly become engaged in one or more client-facing projects, helping to enhance their organizational resiliency. Using established processes, you will implement tailored business continuity and crisis management programs to meet the specific needs of each client. Your goal is to help clients achieve preparedness for potential disruptions and build effective response and recovery capabilities.
In this role, you will support the full business continuity lifecycle, which includes defining program scope and direction, interviewing key stakeholders to identify unique requirements and risks, developing response and recovery strategies, and documenting processes to make these strategies repeatable. You’ll also guide clients through exercises and tests to validate and strengthen their response and recovery strategies, providing recommendations for sustainable, long-term management.

Primary initiatives to be immediately addressed within this opportunity include partnering with Riskonnect and customer business continuity teams in executing the full business continuity lifecycle with scope customer business functions. Specific activities will include facilitating and summarizing the outcomes Business Impact Analyses, create and manage risk register information, develop business continuity plans, and facilitate business continuity exercises. In addition, this role will have the opportunity to support the ongoing improvement of customers’ business continuity planning process.
The clients specialized business continuity/resilience consultants are characterized as high-performing team members who are driven, intelligent, logical, and have an excellent ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form. You will quickly build and maintain relationships and must be able to navigate the strategic and tactical levels of any organization you work with. You will typically operate in a matrixed environment, depending on the particular client engagement to which you are assigned. You can be assured that you will have the opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executes and manages business continuity-related project tasks.
- Responsible for delivering client-ready work, such as analysis and planning.
- Develops the knowledge and skills to be viewed as a subject matter expert.
- Participates in customer meetings and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for additional work and supports customer initiatives prioritization.
- Works closely with project managers and other team members to improve team performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher educational qualification is required.
- Preferred certifications include CBCP, MBCP, MBCI, or FBCI, which showcase your commitment to excellence in business continuity.
- 3-5 years of industry experience in a supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing organization preferred.
- A proven track record of 3-5 years in performing business continuity consulting services, with a focus on the business aspect rather than exclusively on technology.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage complex relationships with customer leadership, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Outstanding writing and presentation skills to effectively convey complex concepts and recommendations.
- Superior analytical skills, enabling you to assess and address intricate business continuity challenges.
- Familiarity with designing and executing all aspects of the business continuity lifecycle, including program design, BIA, risk assessment, strategy development, plan documentation, exercise facilitation, training, awareness, and assessment.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to provide exceptional client service, surpassing expectations and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Flexibility and creativity in applying industry practices to solve complex problems, adapting to unique client needs.
- Familiarity with enterprise risk management concepts and practices is preferred.
- Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
