Position Title: Senior Integration Engineer                                                  Direct Reports:   No
Reports To: VP, IT Integration and Data Services                                        Department:Technology
Location:  Office - Greenville, Atlanta, Dallas, Portland, Melville                                

FLSA Status:  Exempt   

 

Purpose/Job Function:                                                                                                         ______

The Senior Integration Engineer’s responsibility is to design, develop, and support data exchanges with AFS’ external clients and vendors, and is a subject matter expert on complex technical and business matters.  This role will collaborate with internal and external teams to construct custom-tailored data onboarding and transformation processes using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools. In addition, this role is required to uphold our core values of Ethics, Engagement, and Excellence.

 

Essential Functions:                                                                                                  ______            

  • Assist the sales team in assessing the technical fit of customer requirements to AFS’ services.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their data needs and collaborate on project scopes, planning, and execution.
  • Design and implement robust data transformation, ingestion, and automation applications.
  • Maintain and expand API capabilities for our TMS and other service offerings.
  • Must be able interpret the data generated from files, systems, and personnel to complete project requests.

 

Qualification/Requirements:                                                                                    _______          

  • Experience designing and implementing solutions for integration and automation.
  • Must have Mulesoft Developer certification, or have completed training in pursuit of certification, or related experience.
  • Experience with Automate, Blue Prism, or other RPA tools preferred.
  • Experience with ETL and API/Web Services based integrations, with knowledge of SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Jira and Confluence experience a plus.

 

Education/Experience:                                                                                 _          _______          

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, IT or related major, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years related experience.
  • Transportation, logistics, or supply chain experience preferred.

This position may require sitting in front of a computer for long hours at a time. Staring at the computer may cause eye irritation or even muscle strain.  

 

Customary Work Hours: 40-hour, compressed work schedule.
