Job Overview

The AVP, Virtual Health Services spearheads the administrative and business management of all telehealth clinical services provided by AltaMed inclusive of virtual urgent care programs, such as, AltaMed Now, the Patient Service Center, Message Management, Centralize in-basket, e-Consult services and Centralized Outreach teams. Collaborating closely with Health Services leaders, this role oversees the strategic development and operational implementation of all virtual care programs, encompassing telehealth, telephone RN triage, MyChart, digital outreach, and contact center platform initiatives. The AVP optimizes patient experience by leveraging virtual care strategies and technology to enhance access while advancing value-based care objectives. Key responsibilities include identifying and implementing workflows, technologies, and evaluation methodologies for virtual care delivery, encompassing telephonic, video, face-to-face, and one-to-one alternative visits, thereby enriching overall patient engagement. In addition, the AVP is tasked with ensuring the fiscal performance, budget adherence, and employee engagement goals of all areas under their purview. They lead projects and utilize PDSA (plan-do-study-act) models to initiate and scale initiatives with regional support. Lastly, this role actively engages in policy and community advocacy efforts, both internally and externally, to drive legislative changes that positively impact telehealth and virtual care delivery.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree required.

2. Master’s preferred

3. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a directly related healthcare field required.

4. Minimum of 5 years in ambulatory care, 3 years telehealth/virtual care implementation and operations, or other equivalent relevant healthcare experience required or a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity required.

5. Comprehensive knowledge of virtual health laws, rules, and regulations.

6. Experience in financial management, program development, personnel management, project management and quality management strongly preferred.

7. Demonstrated results in executing initiatives and projects.

Compensation

$161,470.00 - $201,843.00 annually
