Tallo is a leading platform that connects individuals with career and education opportunities. We are expanding our efforts to support veterans and military families in Mississippi by leveraging the Tallo platform to connect them with high-paying career opportunities at defense manufacturers and aligned employers.
SUMMARY: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veteran Recruitment Program Manager to lead the deployment of the Tallo platform as a veteran recruitment solution in Mississippi. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the success of our collaboration with the Mississippi Department of Employment Services (MDES) and Mississippi Department of Information Technology Services (ITS), helping military personnel transition into civilian careers.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for veteran employment, possess strong project management skills, and have experience in client relationship management, particularly in implementing technology solutions

- Project Implementation: Lead the implementation of the Tallo platform as a veteran recruitment solution, connecting veterans and military personnel with high-quality career opportunities in Mississippi, with a focus on defense manufacturing and related industries.
- Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for MDES, ITS, and other stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and alignment throughout the duration of the project.
- Veteran Engagement: Work closely with veteran communities, military bases, and organizations to promote the Tallo platform, encouraging veteran participation and usage.
- Employer Coordination: Collaborate with defense manufacturers and other Mississippi employers to facilitate job postings, mentorship opportunities, virtual hiring events, and career assessments through the Tallo platform.
- Technology Deployment: Oversee the onboarding of veterans, military families, and employers onto the Tallo platform, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.
- Program Tracking & Reporting: Monitor key performance metrics and provide regular updates to both MDES and Tallo leadership. Propose strategic adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.
- Budget Management: Manage the project budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet the pilot program's objectives.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all project activities adhere to state and federal regulations and maintain thorough documentation throughout the implementation process.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Five (5) years of proven experience in project management and client relationship management, particularly in technology, workforce development, or veteran services.
- Familiarity with recruitment platforms, veteran employment programs, or the defense manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines.
- Experience in program implementation, including budgeting, reporting, and meeting compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to clear the required background check.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with government agencies or public sector clients.
- Knowledge of Mississippi’s veteran population, military bases, and workforce development needs.
- Prior experience working with military personnel or veteran-specific programs.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the salary range to be $57,519.75 to $121,792.80. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
