Company Description

We’re looking for a Sales Executive (Concierge)

We’re looking for an ambitious Sales Executive to join our Concierge team at Byway. As a member of the Concierge team, you’ll play a vital role in generating new business, contributing to our sales targets and nurturing client relationships. You’ll use your passion for slow travel to craft bespoke journeys that excite our customers, and look after them right up until their departure, managing changes, offering upgrades, and ensuring a joyful experience. You’ll build long-term relationships with your customers, and help them with future journeys through personal recommendations and insights.

We help holidaymakers love their journeys

We're not just another travel company – at Byway, we're pioneering 100% flight-free holidays with Journey AI, the world’s first tech for journey-based trips. We’re a certified B Corp committed to making flight-free travel mainstream. Since our inception in March 2020, we've booked 10,000 travellers onto unforgettable holidays, with 96% five-star reviews. We’re growing 2x YoY and are regularly featured in the press, including the Guardian, BBC, and New York Times.

Job Description

Your key responsibilities

  • Craft bespoke journeys: Qualify leads, understand customer travel preferences and use your expertise in slow travel to design unique, tailor-made holiday experiences.

  • Take the initiative: Actively prospect and generate leads through various channels, especially existing customer re-engagement, including outbound calls and emails.

  • Manage sales and support up to departure: Manage the sales process from initial contact to deal close, ensuring a delightful customer experience, then manage interactions up to departure, including changes, questions, disruptions, and upsells.

  • Meet revenue and NPS targets: Meet or exceed your individual sales revenue targets and ensure your trips delight your clients, as reflected in their NPS scores, including by collaborating with our ops and in-trip support teams.

  • Collaborate to develop product: work with our wider team to grow our collective sales ability over time through better travel product and technical improvements/automations, acting as a business owner for technical developments.

  • Build relationships: Maintain strong relationships with your clients, booking multiple trips for them and tailoring enjoyment-enhancing upsells.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Significant experience in a sales role with a customer-centric and results-driven mindset and a track record meeting or exceeding ambitious sales targets, while balancing excellent customer service to achieve exemplary NPS scores.

  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with potential and existing customers including with prompt and effective responses to enquiries.

  • Strong attention to detail, and a high level of ownership and accountability.

  • Self-motivation and proactivity, capable of working independently and as part of a team.

  • Superb time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively, with the ability to use CRM software and other sales productivity tools to increase efficiency.

  • Belief in our mission and a passion for sustainability or slow travel.

  • A willingness to work weekends (on a rota system) and bank holidays in exchange for time back during the week.

What would be great (but isn’t required)
