The Opportunity ...
We are seeking a Supply Chain Quality Engineer based in Poland, we will also consider candidate from Slovakia, or the Czech Republic. You will support our sourcing strategy, work with sites and suppliers, implement processes, and drive quality within our Diversified Food & Health division.
Reporting to the Supplier Development Manager in Poland, you will build sustainable supplier relationships and understand manufacturing supply chains. Our goal is to save costs without compromising quality.
On a Given Day, You May
- You must be hands-on working with process linked to either direct machine manufacturing or fabrication.
- Build and qualify supplier relationships from the start, including on-site visits during sample creation to understand their capacity.
- Nurture supplier partnerships, manage contracts, and collaborate with Engineering teams to minimize manufacturing delays.
- Advise JBT sites on inventory and supply chain timelines based on supplier capabilities.
- Develop relationships and sourcing opportunities to improve costs, lead times, working capital, and payment terms.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures using VA/VE techniques to simplify supply chain processes and minimize waste.
- Support multiple sites in qualifying vendors and parts.
- Assist in resolving claims and ensuring delivery of parts.
Requirements For The Role
- Degree in science or engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience; Food or Pharma background preferred, but open to all sectors.
- Mechanical/Engineering background, experience with machined/fabricated metal parts, ability to read and make CAD drawings.
- Familiarity with supply chain principles, ERP systems, R&D, NPI, VA/VE, and Design for Fabrication.
- Knowledge of materials and materials handling.
- Quality Control, Welding or CNC machining experience.
- Analytical, organised, project management, negotiation.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of an Eastern European language.
- You will be fully remote and we ask that you travel approximately 25% of the time.
