ABOUT THE JOB:

We’re now looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to help us operate, monitor and maintain our large-scale hybrid cloud operations, primarily focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The Job role is part of our cross-functional R&D team, reporting to the CTO.

The ideal candidate will have current advanced knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform and services like Cloud Run and Kubernetes and having a strong background in traditional operations and a thorough understanding of server management, networking, incident management and storage clusters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the maintenance and operation of our large-scale hybrid cloud infrastructure with a focus on GCP, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
The existing CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration, primarily using Docker, and working with development to support seamless software deployment across cloud and hybrid environments.
Manage traditional data center components in our hybrid cloud setup, including IIS, SQL and HBase, together with our external operations partners.
Closely with the Data Science and Development teams to ensure the production platform remains robust and scalable, aligning with business needs and growth.
Resolve any issues related to the production infrastructure, acting quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime, and working closely with our external operation partners.
System configurations and setup to ensuring compliance and security.

REQUIREMENTS:

3 years of experience in a DevOps or Operations role, with a strong emphasis on managing large-scale production infrastructures, particularly GCP.
Previous experience in Incident Management.
Experience in Docker and containerization, and in maintaining production environments in a SaaS context.
Traditional data center administration and storage technologies like Elasticsearch and HBase is highly advantageous.
Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Communication skills and proficiency in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across international teams.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
