Job description

ABOUT MAPLE

Founded in 2015, Maple is a fast-growing health tech company with a vision to power the future of healthcare by building a connected and superior experience for patients, doctors, and other types of health providers.

We offer virtual care services across multiple distribution channels, including Direct-to-Consumer ("B2C"), Employers and Private Insurers ("B2B") and Public Sector Institutions ("B2I"). With a growing network of 2,000+ healthcare providers and nearly 4 million Canadians with access to our services, Maple is one of Canada’s fastest-growing virtual care companies.

We have established an entrepreneurial culture centered around our purpose to support people’s health and well-being and to strengthen the healthcare system. We attribute our success to our team, who has helped us achieve numerous noteworthy awards including: LinkedIn's Top 10 Startups, Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50, Globe & Mail's Top Growing Companies in Canada, North America’s Inspiring Workplaces, and Glory Professional’s The Power 50: Canada’s Most Impactful Companies.

THE POSITION

In support of a high-growth mandate, we are hiring a Senior Manager, New Business Sales to lead revenue growth within our New Business pod. This team focuses on expanding our reach in both established and emerging markets through direct sales. Our clients leverage Maple’s virtual care services as health and wellness benefits for their employees, end-users, and customers. In this newly created role, you will have the chance to shape the future of healthcare by empowering leading organizations to experience better care solutions.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will develop and execute sales strategies, support Account Executives' (AEs) pipelines, and build strong relationships to drive ambitious growth targets. As the Senior Manager, you will set a strategic vision for direct sales, aligning with internal stakeholders and gaining senior management support to push key initiatives. By leading with energy and accountability, you will motivate and guide AEs, ensuring they meet sales goals while coaching them for ongoing performance improvement. Your creativity and strategic mindset will be vital in overcoming challenges, implementing best practices, and crafting solutions aligned with our values.

Collaboration is central to this role as you partner with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, identify market trends, and seize growth opportunities. Using your industry expertise and business acumen, you will provide valuable insights, build market credibility, and work closely with AEs and senior leadership to discover new avenues for expansion. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about leading high-performing teams to drive revenue success, this role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact.

 12 – 18 MONTH DELIVERABLES

In your first 90 days, you will be expected to quickly drive impact by assessing and optimizing the existing sales strategy to deliver immediate wins and set the tone for growth. You will build strong relationships with your team of Account Executives, quickly identifying and capitalizing on their strengths while addressing any gaps to accelerate results. You will lead by example, implementing tactical sales initiatives, closing high-value opportunities, and refining pipeline processes to enhance efficiency. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will establish a clear and actionable path toward achieving our short-term growth targets, creating momentum and reinforcing a culture of accountability and high performance.

Over the following 12 to 18 months, you will execute your strategic vision to drive sustained revenue growth and expand our presence in new and existing markets. Your leadership will focus on continuously hitting and exceeding sales targets through effective coaching, strategic initiatives, and a relentless focus on market trends and client needs. You will play a key role in identifying and unlocking new business opportunities while ensuring that the team remains agile and equipped to meet evolving demands. Through collaboration with senior leadership and cross-departmental partnerships, you will solidify Maple’s market leadership by championing innovative sales approaches, strengthening client relationships, and delivering measurable, long-term success.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, ideally within B2B or SaaS environments, with a focus on new business development and revenue growth.
  • Extensive experience managing and coaching high-performing sales teams, with a demonstrated ability to drive results and exceed targets.
  • Strong strategic and tactical sales expertise, with a deep understanding of sales processes, market analysis, and growth strategies.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • A history of leading cross-functional initiatives and working collaboratively across departments to optimize processes and drive growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate, solve complex challenges, and introduce best practices in a rapidly evolving business landscape.
  • Strong business acumen and market knowledge, with the ability to deliver insights and identify emerging opportunities that drive organizational impact.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a proven ability to adapt and thrive amid change.
  • Healthcare or healthtech experience is not required. While an understanding of healthcare is beneficial, we believe exceptional sales talent transcends industries. What truly matters is your ability to drive growth, lead a team, and connect with a purpose-driven product.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French (spoken and written) is required for this role, as you will work with French-speaking clients and team members daily. French language skills will be assessed as part of the interview process.

We value equity, diversity, and inclusion, and we’re committed to providing fair and equal opportunities to all applicants.
