About the team + role

We are looking for a Finance & Strategy Senior Analyst to partner closely with the Money product team.  Robinhood’s Money team is building the next generation of spending products for all Americans, starting with jaw-dropping Credit Cards. You will have the opportunity to build out a strong finance foundation for the product, enabling us to unlock the next-generation Money products.

This role requires someone that has strong experience in financial modeling, cost management, budgeting/forecasting experience. You will play a critical role establishing and tracking metrics and keeping leadership informed of key trends.The ideal candidate will have proven experiences in past roles influencing business leaders, and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role has regular interaction with senior leadership at Robinhood and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

It is preferred that this role is located in one of the office locations listed on this job description which will align with our in-office working environment. This position is only eligible for remote work in limited geographies within the US where we do not have physical office locations. What you’ll do
  • Prepare and update financial reporting and forecasts, and partner closely with business partners to research and communicate performance vs. budgets/forecasts
  • Partner with the accounting team to ensure P&L accuracy. Continuously work towards improving and streamlining cost center management to enhance the overall budget management process for the Money team.
  • Synthesize and distill key financial business insights for leadership - analyze results, identify key metrics, assess risk and communicate risks & opportunities. 
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and synthesizing data to support business partner inquiries, aiding in managerial decision-making for product strategies.
  • Partner with the Money leads and find efficiency opportunities and appropriate metrics to track business performance and additional sources of cost savings
  • Execute on business case modeling and ad-hoc projects to ensure a high level of data fidelity to support forecasting (working closely with all cross-functional business partners)
  • Be a thought leader to improve and simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions to support the next wave of Robinhood’s growth
  • Deliver products on time with an extremely high quality bar

 

What you bring
  • B.A. in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years professional work experience in finance with progressively increasing levels of responsibility and including 2+ year(s) supporting business partners
  • High proficiency in Excel and Google Suite
  • Excellent analytical financial modeling, forecasting skills
  • Superb product and business sense, and concise communication skills
  • A strong sense of urgency, speed and high standards and a strong work ethic - you always bring your best and expect your colleagues to do the same
  • Experience in fintech products is a plus but is not required

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
