Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, the successful candidate will help drive team strategy through analytics, management, and strategy planning. Health Plan experience and skills with Salesforce CRM, training and strategic planning are needed.
Job Duties:
Drives the activities of the department to collaborate with Sales leadership and stakeholder departments to identify opportunities for new sales and increased sales efficiency. All lines of business (LOBs) are supported, but there is a particular focus on Retail Markets. Manages a team that identifies opportunities through data analysis and deploys training to leverage those opportunities.
- Closely partners with sales leadership and direct reports to prioritize evaluation of critical sales processes, from which improvement recommendations will be developed.
- Manages the development of the annual Sales Plan. This plan is developed in collaboration with the leaders of Commercial Sales and Retail Market Sales, and outlines the priorities of the Sales team for the subsequent year.
- Oversees Sales development of training curriculum. Training tracks to be developed and refreshed in support of enhancing Sales skills and ensuring proper use of Sales software tools.
- Develops and manages annual Retail Markets training plan to ensure employed Sales employees and brokers are properly credentialed
- Manages the development and maintenance of sales reports and dashboards to evaluate sales tactics and channels.
- Collaborates with Marketing and Sales Operations to oversee data analysis and monitoring to ensure maximum conversion of sales opportunities.
- Develops ad hoc dashboards and reports in Salesforce CRM to help Directors and Managers monitor their teams’ productivity.
- Develops proformas and other predictive models to ensure all inputs needed to meet sales targets are clear to stakeholders.
- From data analysis, recommends sales initiatives to maximize conversion opportunities and develops performance metrics and goals associated with various sales channels and initiatives.
- Manages training staff to who support new employees, new software, or new process training, as well as to ensure proper execution of new sales techniques identified from semi-annual Opportunity Plans. Training will include external brokers.
- Collaborates with Marketing and other stakeholder groups to ensure sales opportunities are adequate to meet growth targets.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of team.
- Monitors applicable industry trends and emerging solutions to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
- Where possible, measures ROI of all proposed and executed sales initiatives.
