Job description

Eight Sleep is the world’s first sleep fitness company. Our mission is to fuel human potential through optimal sleep. We use innovative technology, detailed design, and proven science and data to personalize and improve each night for everybody—changing the way people sleep forever and for the better.

With our flagship product, the Pod, we are addressing critical sleep issues such as temperature regulation, bed elevation, snoring reduction, and the wake-up experience. Hundreds of thousands of customers around the world sleep better every night thanks to the Pod.

But we’re just getting started. We’re committed to developing more groundbreaking products to tackle additional sleep problems, changing the role sleep plays in our lives forever. We’re excited about the journey ahead and the impact we can make as we continue to innovate and expand our offerings to fulfill our mission.

We are backed by leading Silicon Valley investors like YC Combinator, Founders Fund, Valor, and Khosla Ventures, and we have been recognized as one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in 2018, 2022, and 2023.The Pod was also recognized two years in a row by TIME's “Best Inventions of the Year.” We currently sell the Pod in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia.

Before you apply

Eight Sleep is an intense environment: we’re demanding and ambitious, which means we ask a lot of ourselves and one another. This means fantastic learning, achievements, and career growth, but it also requires a significant commitment. Our dedication, drive, and intensity rivals those of Olympic athletes. At Eight Sleep, we have Kobe Bryant’s mamba mentality - we always aim to be at the best 1% of what we do. If you’re looking for a 9-5, this is not for you. Our employees report working up to 60 hours per week. If you want to be challenged and pushed harder than ever before, we invite you to apply.

The role

We are looking for a talented Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our expanding Growth team to manage for our lifecycle marketing acquisition channels (email and SMS), working closely with our internal team for the implementation of all acquisition-focused campaigns and flows. If you are a growth-oriented problem solver looking for a way to apply your unique skill set to exciting and impactful business challenges, this is the right opportunity for you. You’ll report directly to our Director of Lifecycle Marketing.

This is a high-impact role within the organization, with the opportunity to oversee a top revenue channel.

How you’ll contribute

First and foremost, we are a mission-driven company, so a passion for what we do and our mission is key. At a high level, the role encompasses four areas:

  • Define a strategy to hit channel goals through a concise customer journey

    • Analyze behavioral data and conduct research to better understand the touch points needed to nurture users into customers.

    • Define the specific landmarks in the customer journey that will reduce the time from sign-up to purchase while driving the highest ROI.

    • Develop and manage segmentation strategies to ensure that email messaging and creative is relevant to different audience segments.

  • Manage internal resources to hit program goals

    • Work closely with the e-commerce team to ensure the most efficient performance of our leads capture initiatives, to drive significant growth of our lists.

    • Own the creation of our lifecycle marketing content calendar using a project management tool and making sure all initiatives stay on track.

    • Brief internal creative team on the needs of the program for both campaigns and flows across each of our markets (US, Canada, UK, EU and Australia).

    • QA all the work before it goes live, and ensure the highest standards of copy, design, and development, adhering to the brand guidelines.

  • Scale and grow a referral program

    • Develop and oversee loyalty program to increase brand advocates and drive acquisition

    • Create and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote the referral program and engage existing customers

    • Manage our agency partner to create and implement program assets

  • Measure results and iterate on the strategy

    • Build dashboards for monitoring the performance of all lifecycle marketing touch points.

    • Continuously refine the strategy to drive increased ROI.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3+ years of experience in relevant roles with proven success driving revenue above 6 figures per month through a lifecycle marketing program.

  • Excellent communication skills. You’re a person who ensures clarity and alignment across global teams, making complex ideas easy to understand.

  • A sense of urgency and organization. You manage multiple resources with ease, keeping projects on track and meeting deadlines without compromising quality.

  • Keen ability to prioritize.  You excel at identifying and focusing on projects that add the highest value to the organization, maintaining a strong focus on impactful outcomes rather than spreading efforts too thinly.

  • Experience in building campaigns and flows in Klaviyo or similar ESP.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with designers, marketers, and growth PMs and engineers.

  • Intuitive understanding of how to manipulate, analyze, and interpret highly complex data; ability to synthesize vast amounts of user data into a coherent understanding of needs and motivations.

  • Excitement about the opportunity to build a fast-growing brand into an iconic company.

  • An interest in the health and wellness space, particularly sleep.
