Job Description

At Aperia, we rely on a dynamic team of growth leaders. We’re seeking a Proposal & Capture Manager to support our growing Government, Defense & Security (GDS) team. In this role, you will champion the development and delivery of major proposals, partnering with stakeholders across Aperia’s GDS business lines and functional teams, including growth/business development, legal, finance, engineering, program management, and executive leadership, to win new business. The GDS team will depend on your project management, content generation, and competing priority management skills.

This role must be filled by a qualified candidate who can expertly navigate a dynamic growth environment, craft compelling technical narratives on cutting-edge capabilities, build and implement pricing strategies, and collaborate with both internal and external (partner) stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities
  • Utilize project management skills to develop and adhere to detailed timelines, ensuring that all proposal components are completed and submitted on time.
  • Coordinate with various teams to guarantee that every aspect of the proposal meets the specific requirements and standards of the opportunity, ensuring compliance and alignment with the solicitation guidelines.
  • Ensure that all proposals meet the highest standards of quality and comply with all relevant regulations and requirements.
  • Monitors proposal status responds to any inquiries from the government, and prepares Aperia team for potential follow-up activities such as oral presentations or negotiations.
  • Compellingly convey Aperia’s innovative technology solutions in narrative format and through graphical / technical diagrams, working closely with marketing, product and engineering teams
  • Lead short, mid and long term opportunity pursuits, to include designing and executing capture, pricing, and outreach strategies through proposals, white papers, and other positioning documents
  • Develop and maintain strategic pricing across all Aperia GDS’ offerings
  • Create and own the proposal process with an eye towards continuous improvement
  • Monitor and flag potential opportunities to key internal stakeholders
  • Communicate regularly with team, manager, leadership, and sponsors to ensure transparency
  • Effectively work on multiple concurrent projects and manage competing priorities, when necessary
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to generate large documents on short timelines
  • Significant experience with the Government solicitation process
  • Experience and aptitude in building process where none exists
  • Ability to clearly articulate information and to listen and understand business needs
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization
  • Comfort working with a diverse range of organizational disciplines
Things that will separate you from the rest
  • 5+ years of experience driving proposal and capture initiatives in pursuit of law enforcement and intelligence opportunities
  • Technical writing certification(s)
  • Experience crafting proposal content and marketing messages that showcase technology differentiators for insider threat, common operating picture (COP) and multi-source investigative analysis use cases
Education or Certifications
