Position Description:   

As the Vice President of Marketing for BeyondID, you will spearhead the company’s global marketing strategy, brand positioning, and demand generation efforts. This role is essential in establishing BeyondID as a recognized leader in identity and access management (IAM) solutions by driving awareness, engagement, and revenue growth across target industries. You will lead a team of marketing professionals and collaborate with cross-functional leaders to develop strategies that expand BeyondID’s market presence and align with business objectives. 

The VP of Marketing reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for developing and executing the annual marketing plan and strategy, as well as leading and coaching a high-performing marketing team. This role involves close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the objectives and priorities of the sales organization are supported. The VP of Marketing is fully responsible for corporate marketing, demand generation, solutions and channel marketing, customer engagement, content marketing, and thought leadership. Additionally, they will develop, maintain, and execute marketing campaigns while working closely with stakeholders in innovation, sales, alliances, solutions, and services. Speed to market is critical for this position, so the ideal candidate must possess a high-energy, agile, and proactive mindset. The ideal candidate can align the team and stakeholders to bring focus to competing priorities.  

This is primarily a remote position, with an expectation of 30% travel worldwide. 

  

Responsibilities:  

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with BeyondID’s growth goals and differentiates it in the IAM and cybersecurity services market.
    • Lead market research efforts to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in the IAM, cybersecurity and managed services markets. 
  • Brand Positioning and Awareness:
    • Shape and enhance BeyondID’s brand positioning as a trusted, innovative provider of managed identity solutions.
    • Drive awareness initiatives through PR, thought leadership, events, and strategic partnerships to strengthen market perception and build brand equity. 
  • Demand Generation and Lead Acquisition:
    • Oversee multi-channel demand generation strategies to drive lead acquisition, nurture prospects, and increase customer conversion rates.
    • Lead the development and execution of digital marketing, SEO/SEM, content marketing, and ABM campaigns tailored to target accounts. 
  • Solutions Marketing and Go-to-Market Strategy:
    • Partner with solution and innovation teams to develop compelling messaging, positioning, and value propositions for new and existing solutions.
    • Define and execute go-to-market plans for product launches, ensuring alignment with sales and product roadmaps. 
  • Sales Enablement and Collaboration:
    • Work closely with sales leadership to equip the sales team with effective tools, resources, and training to enhance customer engagement.
    • Develop targeted marketing and sales assets, case studies, white papers, and solution briefs to support the sales process. 
  • Channel Marketing and Partnerships:
    • Develop and execute a channel marketing strategy to support BeyondID’s partner ecosystem and drive growth through strategic alliances.
    • Collaborate with channel partners to create joint marketing programs, co-branded campaigns, and enablement resources to expand reach and drive mutual success.
    • Establish metrics to track the effectiveness of channel marketing efforts and adjust strategies to maximize channel-driven revenue. 
  • Customer Retention and Loyalty:
    • Drive customer engagement programs, including customer success stories, testimonials, advocacy and customer advisory initiatives to increase retention.
    • Collaborate with customer success teams to enhance the customer experience and gather insights to improve offerings and relationships. 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making and Analytics:
    • Design and implement robust analytics to measure and optimize marketing campaign performance, ROI, and overall impact on growth objectives.
    • Leverage insights to continuously refine marketing strategies, improve conversion rates, and support data-driven decision-making. 
  • Marketing Budget and Investments:
    • Own the marketing budget by ensuring resources are allocated efficiently across various campaigns, channels, and initiatives.  
    • Make strategic investment decisions to maximize return on investment (ROI) and support long-term growth objectives.  
    • Regularly monitor budget performance, adjusting allocations to prioritize high-impact marketing activities and respond to changing business needs. 
  • Team Development and Leadership:
    • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team with a focus on professional development and growth.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability within the marketing department.
    • Manage and optimize the work of agency partners. 

Qualifications  

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field. An MBA or master’s degree is preferred. 
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of marketing experience, with a strong background in B2B technology marketing, ideally within cybersecurity, SaaS, or managed identity solutions.
    • Proven experience leading marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth. 
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in digital marketing, content strategy, SEO/SEM, ABM, customer marketing and data analytics.
    • Strong understanding of IAM, cybersecurity and managed services market dynamics and trends.
    • Experienced in selecting, integration and optimization of marketing technologies such as HubSpot, Salesforce and NetSuite CRM and other ABM platforms. 
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into compelling messages.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performance marketing teams.
    • Strategic thinker with a strong bias for action and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in managing budgets and delivering results on time and within budget.
