Genesis10 is seeking a Data Engineer for a contract with our client in Eden Prairie, MN. 100% Remote.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, implement, and maintain data and analytics pipelines to support actuarial reporting and analytics. In this role, you will build actuarial enrichment data processes, productionalize data science algorithms, and conduct application proof-of-concepts (POCs) to enhance an actuarial data mart. The data mart serves as a critical resource for driving client service engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines for actuarial reporting and analytics.
- Build enrichment processes for actuarial data to enhance data accuracy and insight generation.
- Collaborate with data scientists to productionalize algorithms.
- Perform POCs to evaluate and implement innovative solutions for the actuarial data mart.
- Monitor and maintain data pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient data delivery.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including actuaries and data scientists, to address business needs.
Required Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience using SPARK with Python and SQL.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, including ETL development and pipeline building.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, with hands-on expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, and/or Microsoft Fabric.
- 1+ years of experience working with healthcare data.
- Proficiency with data orchestration tools such as ADF, Airflow, or DBT.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, or Maven.
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of healthcare concepts, including claims, eligibility, benefits, pricing, underwriting, stop-loss reinsurance, and reserves.
- Experience building business intelligence tools in Power BI or Tableau.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to guide and mentor a team.
- Proven ability to build and optimize engineering processes in collaboration with actuaries and/or data scientists.
Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $50-$68
We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
